Candle Care
Wood Wicks are made of 100% natural wood and can sometimes be tricky. To ensure the best experience with your candle, follow these simple care
- Wick-It Good!: Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each burn to prevent soot and ensure an even flame. In most cases, this is done when you receive your candle, but be sure to trim it before every burn.
- Light the Candle Properly: When lighting, gently tilt the candle to help the wick catch the flame. Use a match or long lighter to ignite the wood wick fully.
- First Impressions Matter: Allow your candle to burn long enough during the first use. We recommend at most 4hrs
- Patience, Wax Lover: If your candle doesn’t achieve a full melt pool on the first or second burn, don’t panic! Our candles are slow starters—designed to burn cool at first. The hanging wax will join the party as the flame moves down the jar.
- Avoid Drafts: Keep the candle away from drafts to ensure even burning and prevent flickering.
- Hotter as We Go: Did you know that candles burn hotter the further they go down the jar? This is due to reduced airflow, which ensures an even, cozy burn every time.
- Burn Smart, Not Long: For best results, burn your candle for 3–4 hours at a time. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours to maintain the quality of the wick and wax.
- Remove Burnt Wood: Before relighting, make sure to remove any burnt wood from the wick to prevent debris from affecting the burn.
- Safety First, Candle Lovers:
- Always burn candles on a heat-resistant surface.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects.
